God led me...

God led me to start Girlfriend Ministry with two burdens on my heart, and He has grown this ministry beyond my greatest dreams.

My heart was burdened for women who did not know how to read and study their Bible, who did not know how to listen and know God's voice, who could not go as deep as they wanted in Bible study, or who could quote their favorite Bible teacher but knew few verses. In seminary I had learned to dig deep, and I had fallen in love with the Scripture again. I just wanted other women to have the same tools and ability if they wanted it, knowing women take what they've learned back into their homes and to their families.

My heart was also burdened for women who had been in the church and had even stopped going to church. I wanted women to learn what it means to be authentic, to be able to spot authentic Christians, and to love these women back into the church with those skills.

From there, God does what He does. He multiplies. He added the cancer group to support, single mommas to love on, and women from all different religions coming together to worship, study, and serve together. He is so generous! I just love Him.

I'm thankful I was able to start this ministry with my mom, Sandra Timmons.  Speaking and teaching with her has been one of the sweetest blessings I will always cherish out of this ministry.

I look forward to seeing how God uses and grows this ministry for His kingdom, and I hope you find a way to be a part of it.
